The Bob and Marlene Robertson Family Endowment honours the life and legacy of Bob Robertson, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and respected forestry professional.

Born in Kamloops, British Columbia, Bob grew up on his family’s ranch in Clinton, surrounded by a close-knit family and community. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Forestry in 1960 and married Marlene in 1961. Together they built a strong family foundation and shared a lifetime of adventures and experiences.

Bob was known for his warmth, generosity, integrity, and unwavering commitment to family and friends. As a husband, father, and grandfather, he was remembered for his kindness, patience, and caring nature.

Throughout his career in the forest industry, Bob earned a reputation as a sincere, intelligent, and loyal professional. He worked with several forestry organizations, including MacMillan Bloedel, Western Forest Products, Federated Co-op, and Drew Sawmills. He also spent time as an independent consultant, advocating for and representing small forestry operators.

His work and family life took him to several communities across British Columbia, including Parksville, Port Alberni, Quesnel, and Salmon Arm, where he and Marlene ultimately enjoyed life in the Shuswap. Together they shared a love of travel and spent many winters in Arizona.

Bob is remembered not only for his professional contributions, but also for the values he lived by and the lasting impact he had on those around him. Through this endowment, his legacy of community, family, and service continues to benefit future generations.
