The Glenn and Judith Borthistle Endowment reflects a longstanding commitment to education, student success, and leadership development within School District No. 83.
A former principal, Human Resources Director, and Superintendent of Schools in SD83, Glenn Borthistle was a strong advocate for students and for developing student leadership opportunities. Together with his wife, Judith, he established this fund to recognize and encourage outstanding student leaders.
The annual Student Leader Award is presented to an exemplary student from across the district who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and service within their school community. The award recognizes outstanding achievement and contribution to student leadership in secondary schools throughout SD83.
Through this endowment, the Borthistles’ commitment to supporting and celebrating student leadership continues to benefit future generations of students.

Donations to this fund can be made by e-transfer (preferred), by cheque, donated securities, in person at any SASCU branch, through a gift of securities, or online through CanadaHelps.
