A pharmacist (now retired) and owner of Eagle Valley IDA Pharmacy for 25 years in Sicamous and Remedy’s Rx Prescription Centre in Salmon Arm for 5 years, Rod has been a member of the community of Sicamous for the past four decades.

Rod is an active partner of K3catski, Revelstoke, BC operating in the Monashee mountains for past 10 years. He enjoys road cycling, tennis and snowboarding when not travelling to visit family in Alaska, England and Switzerland

A gift of publicly traded securities can be an attractive option. The Income Tax Act provides that capital gains on securities donated to a charity are exempt from tax, but the donor will receive a tax receipt for the full appreciated value. You will receive a tax receipt for the value of the stock at the time of transfer, and may carry forward for up to five years any unused portions of the gift.
